Chapter Six
INTEGRATION
Thereâs a reason youâre holding this book in your hands right now. Thereâs a purpose behind your reading these words. I donât want to seem overly mystical, but Iâm tempted to say youâve been called by your destiny to pick up this book. Letâs just say thereâs a reason. Itâs up to you to understand exactly what that reason is. Thatâs part of the work you need to do for yourself. I canât do it for you, which is a good thing. Because when you do it for yourself, the reward you get will be something that youâve fully earned.
As you do this work of reconnecting or integrating your soul self, there will be days that I like to call âdays of ups and downs.â You may feel like a tremendous revelation is happening for you, like youâre seeing the Pacific Ocean or the stars in the sky for the first time. Thatâs a kind of euphoria, an intense and crazy high. And then a little while later you may feel like youâre getting nowhere, and that all this talk is just a waste of time.
Those contradictory feelings can happen in quick succession, sometimes in the same hour or certainly in the same day. But the key thing you need to learn is how all of that is part of the same process, and that whatever youâre
feeling is exactly what youâre supposed to be feeling based on where your consciousness is right now. Donât take any of those up-and-down feelings at face value. Donât judge the process of finding your miracle based on those feelings.
Thatâs a key message you need to understand.
Even if this is an unusually up-and-down day, even if youâre feeling really high or really low at this moment, try to identify exactly what is causing you to pick up this book and read these words right now. What is the problem you need to solve? What is the issue youâre working on? Try to be as specific as possible about it. Maybe thereâs a conflict in an important relationship. Maybe thereâs something going on in your career. What are you supposed to do? Those things can be very important, and I donât mean to minimize their importance, but for the moment letâs call them âthe little questions.â How are they little? Theyâre little because if you really engage with them, youâll start to get a very big answer. The big answer will dwarf the little questions, and the answer is always love.
That may seem like an overly simple answer right now. It may even seem like a cliché. But when you start to experience it by focusing very intently on the concerns in your life, youâll see what it really means.
When you see the beauty of that, youâll see how much
bigger the answer is compared to the question youâre asking. When you see the love thatâs the essence of the system youâre in, youâll know that itâs much bigger than
âShould I look for a new apartment?â
